Can the ManoScan 360 be connected to the hospital network?
YES,
Intranet Connectivity: The ManoScan computer does not need Intranet connectivity to perform procedures and analyze data properly. If desired, the computer may be connected to an Intranet without voiding the SSI equipment warranty.
Saving Patients to Network Drives: If desired, patients may be saved to network drives with no issues. However, it is important to note that SSI’s software still reads/writes data to the local machine during report generation. Internet Connectivity: The ManoScan computer does not need Internet connectivity to perform procedures and analyze data properly. If desired, the computer may be connected to the Internet without voiding the SSI equipment warranty. SSI uses a web-based remote assistance tool to aid in troubleshooting and technical support. The ability to utilize this tool is not required to perform procedures and analyze data properly.
Is the ManoScan HRM catheter Manufactured by SSI?
YES,
All of our high resolution manometry and 3D catheters are designed, manufactured and serviced by SSI the United States.
Is the ManoScan HRM Catheter Latex Free?
YES,
All of our manometry and pH / pH with impedance catheters are latex free as well as our single use ManoShield protective sheaths.
Do you have a Loaner or Rental Program for HRM catheters?
YES,
We provide loaner equipment to our customers for products covered under warranty. We do not have a rental programs for our products.
What are the SSI product warranties?

If equipment proves defective during warranty period, SSI, at its option, will repair the product or replace it with a new or equivalent refurbished product. Loss of signal in isolated sensor(s) within catheter may not constitute a failure of the catheter or qualify for repair or replacement, depending on the location of the sensor(s). SSI is not responsible for damage due to mishandling, accidental damage, or use that is inconsistent with that specified in the User’s Manual.
What disinfectants can I use with the HRM catheters?
Tested and acceptable disinfectants:
Cidex Plus, Cidex OP
Tristel,
Korsolex basic, Korsolex Ready To Use,
Gigasept FF (neu), Sekusept
Plus, Sporox IITM, TD-5TM (TD-100TM system not tested)
Tested disinfectants not to be used:
Cidex PA,
Sterilox.
AccuTrac System
How do you calibrate the system?
The pH sensor(s) are immersed in tubes with pH buffer solution.
Can I perform a study longer than 24 hours?
It is possible to perform ambulatory studies longer than 24 hours and up to 48 hours.
What is an ISFET sensor?
It is an ion-sensitive field effect transistor used to measure ion concentrations - pH -in solution. The ISFET pH sensor technology has shown to be more stable and less reactive to temperature changes than antimony pH sensors used to detect acid reflux. ISFET pH sensor catheters do not require a five minute pre-soak in buffer solution.
Can I synchronize my pH / pH-Z studies with HRM studies?
YES,
The AccuView pH and pH-Z software will use the anatomy marker placements from the initially performed high resolution esophageal manometry studies performed and analyzed with the ManoScan 360 System software.
