Special Session on HRM draws record attendance.  SSI promotes the technological advances of ManoScan360™ at a special supplementary session of the AMS. Manometry users from across the U.S. and several other countries attended a live demonstration of High-resolution esophageal manometry and lectures on case presentations from Jeffrey Conklin, MD – Cedar Sinai Medical Center, Peter Kahrilas, MD – Northwestern University Medical Center and Annapurna Camilli, MD – Temple University Medical Center. 

Thought leaders on motility in the UK came to the exhibition stand of SynMed, UK to see the latest HRM technology from SSI. Several researchers made purchase commitments on the spot after reviewing the ManoScan 360™ workstation capabilities.  Dr. Mark Fox of St. Thomas Hospital in London was available to answer questions on their use of the ManoScan 360TM and the remarkable differences the system made in diagnosing swallowing disorders.

Production Milestone – 200th Catheter & 100th ManoScan System Shipped!

SSI held its first International Distributors meeting in conjunction with the Digestive Disease Week – AGA. Current and prospective distributors attended a meeting with SSI to see the expanding product line and R & D initiatives under way at SSI.  Howard Mui of Mui Scientific Instruments of Canada was among the attendees. Mui stated “The ManoScan360™ is the future of manometry for the world.” Mui agreed to be the Canadian distributor of SSI products and to assist with distribution in other parts of the world if needed.

SSI held a special session at the National SGNA meeting and a live patient study was performed in front of attendees of this prestigious meeting. The presentation resulted in commitments from several hospitals to pursue immediate purchase of the ManoScan 360™ system.

SSI held its first EU distributor meeting in conjunction with our exhibition at the OESO Congress.  The distributor meeting was attended by both existing and prospective distributors. As a result of this meeting and exhibition, our first ManoScan 360™ was sold in France. We also received commitments for distributors in Poland, Austria and the Nordic countries.

SSI received exceptional interest from both clinicians and medical equipment distributors who attended this meeting.  This date also marked the sale of the first ManoScan 360™ in Poland and commitments for distributors in Israel and Egypt.

“High-Resolution esophageal manometry” article is published in the Ear, Nose and Throat Journal using data collected with SSI’s ManoScan 360TM High-Resolution Manometry system.

Live ManoScanTM procedure is broadcast during lectures and results in several university hospitals requesting live procedure demonstrations. Attendees from Middle Eastern Arabic countries showed significant interest in the ManoScan 360™ and additional distributor commitments were received.
